Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all classes, memberships, services, and activities provided by The Harpham Company ("THC"). By enrolling a student and/or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. Enrolment and Information Collection
All enrolments, consent forms, medical information, emergency contact details, and media permissions are collected and managed via our website. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to ensure that all information provided is accurate and kept up to date.

2. Trial (Taster) Sessions
Subject to availability and at the discretion of THC, a one-session trial (“Taster”) may be offered to new students. A Taster applies only to a student’s first attendance, or where a student is re-attending after a minimum period of four consecutive weeks without attending.
A Taster session is provided free of charge, does not guarantee a place, and cannot be claimed retrospectively.

3. Membership and Payments
THC operates on a monthly subscription basis.
-
All fees are payable by Direct Debit only.
-
Monthly subscription payments are taken automatically in advance in accordance with the Direct Debit mandate.
-
Discounted fees, where offered, may vary and are subject to change.
If payment is not received in full for any reason, THC reserves the right to suspend or cancel the membership and exclude the student from classes until all outstanding amounts are paid.

4. Cancellations and Notice
A minimum four-week notice period is required to cancel a membership. Fees for the notice period are payable in full, whether or not the student attends classes during this time.
Once notice of cancellation has been given, the student may no longer attend classes beyond the final paid period.

5. Class Changes and Closures
THC reserves the right to change class days, times, locations, teachers, or schedules where reasonably necessary.
In the event of enforced closures outside of our control, including but not limited to adverse weather, venue unavailability, government restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances, THC reserves the right to:
-
Move classes online; or
-
Rearrange sessions where possible.
Where classes continue online or are rearranged, standard subscription fees remain payable.

6. Attendance and Punctuality
To avoid disruption, students are expected to arrive promptly. THC reserves the right to refuse entry to classes where late arrival would be disruptive to the session.

7. Missed Classes and Refunds
No refunds, credits, or make-up sessions are offered for classes missed due to illness, holidays, timetable changes, government restrictions, or a decision by the parent or student not to attend.

8. Conduct and Behaviour
All students, parents, guardians, and guests must treat THC staff, teachers, and other members with respect and consideration.
THC does not tolerate bullying, inappropriate, rude, offensive, or aggressive behaviour. THC reserves the right to suspend or terminate a student’s membership in the event of serious or repeated misconduct.
A student may be asked to leave a class if their behaviour jeopardises the safety, enjoyment, or learning of others.

9. Health, Safety, and Welfare
All participation is at the student’s own risk. Parents or guardians must disclose any medical conditions, injuries, or additional needs prior to attendance.
Parents and students are responsible for familiarising themselves with and complying with the health and safety rules of the venue at all times.
Smoking, vaping, consumption of alcohol, and the use or being under the influence of illegal substances are strictly prohibited at THC classes and venues.

10. Media and Materials
Where media consent has been provided, THC may use photographs and video recordings of classes for promotional and educational purposes in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
All materials provided by THC remain the intellectual property of The Harpham Company and must not be copied, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without written consent.

11. Suspension and Termination
THC reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership without refund in the event of:
-
Serious or repeated breach of these Terms & Conditions;
-
Non-payment of fees; or
-
Behaviour that puts the safety or wellbeing of others at risk.

12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, THC’s liability shall be limited to the total amount of fees paid for the relevant membership period. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Complaints
Any concerns or complaints should be raised with THC through appropriate channels. We aim to resolve issues promptly and fairly.

14. Amendments
THC reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be published on our website and will apply from the date of publication.

15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Effective date: 03 January 2026
