The Harpham Company's dynamic classes for aspiring performers! Our Mini Cast classes (ages 3-5) introduce young talents to the joys of singing, dancing, and acting in a fun and nurturing environment. For older students, Main Cast (ages 6-18), provides a more intensive experience, honing their skills in musical theatre, choreography, and dramatic performance. The Process
At The Harpham Company, every child’s journey begins with a taster session. This allows young people to experience our Performing Arts school environment, meet our tutors, and take part in our supportive and encouraging classes.
If your child enjoys the taster, they can then enrol as a full member of The Harpham Company and join us officially.

Mini Cast students attend 1-hour weekly classes, focusing on confidence, creativity, and foundational theatre skills. Mini Cast play a supportive, ensemble role within our shows.

Main Cast students attend 3-hour weekly classes, offering more advanced training across acting, singing, and dance, alongside structured Drama Rehearsals and ensemble work. Main Cast audition and rehearse for our large scale productions, playing lead, supporting and ensemble roles.
At the start of each year, a full-scale production is selected, and all students work together towards this show across the academic term. Roles are allocated through auditions, which are run as a positive and supportive process. Auditions are designed to help children grow in confidence, understand casting, and feel encouraged regardless of outcome. Every child is valued as part of the company and supported throughout rehearsals.
As a Stage School rooted in professional standards, our students gain real experience in Theatre and Performing Arts, learning what it truly means to be part of a production. This includes rehearsals, character development, vocal and movement training, and ensemble Performing.
The year culminates in a fully staged Performance on a professional stage, performed in front of a live audience. Our productions feature professional lighting, sound, set design, props, and costumes, giving students an authentic theatrical experience and the chance to perform in a real-world theatre environment.
